Publication fees
The International Journal of High-Rise Buildings charges an article processing charge (APC) for accepted manuscripts. The expedited publication fee does not affect editorial screening, peer review, reviewer assignment, editorial decisions, or the acceptance of manuscripts.

Discounts
The following discounts apply only to the standard APC and do not apply to the expedited publication fee.
- Reviewers who complete a peer review for the journal are eligible for a 20% discount on the standard APC for manuscripts submitted within one year of completing the review.
- Authors who publish an article in the journal are eligible for a 20% discount on the standard APC for a new manuscript submitted within one year after publication.
- Discounts cannot be combined. If multiple discounts apply, only one 20% discount may be used.
How and when to pay
Submitting a manuscript is free. Charges apply only after a manuscript has been accepted. The editorial office then sends an invoice with a payment link to the corresponding author, and payment is due before the article is scheduled for publication.
Prices are set in Korean won (KRW); all payments are collected in US dollars (USD). The USD amount is calculated from the KRW price at the exchange rate on the date of payment and is shown on the payment page before you confirm — for authors in Korea and abroad alike. Payments are processed by PortOne Inc. and its acquiring partner Eximbay. Visa, Mastercard, JCB, American Express, Diners Club and Discover are accepted; cards issued in Korea must be enabled for international transactions. The journal does not store card numbers. Bank transfer is available on request.
Refunds
The full amount is refunded if the author withdraws the manuscript before publication, if a payment is duplicated or charged in error, or if the journal withdraws the article for reasons attributable to the journal. No refund is given once the article has been published, because the service has been delivered. Refunds are made by cancelling the original card authorisation for the USD amount actually charged and may take 3–7 business days to appear.
