Terms of Service & Refund Policy

1. Publisher

The International Journal of High-Rise Buildings (IJHRB) is published by The Society of Vertical City and Architecture (Business Registration No. 209-82-10867), Rm 1104, Bldg C, Hyundai Knowledge Industry Center, 7 Beopwon-ro 11-gil, Songpa-gu, Seoul 05836, Republic of Korea. 2. Charges

Submitting a manuscript is free of charge. Charges apply only after a manuscript has been accepted for publication.

Prices are set in Korean won (KRW). All payments are collected in US dollars (USD). The USD amount is calculated from the KRW price at the exchange rate on the date of payment, and the exact USD amount is shown on the payment page before you confirm. This applies to all authors, whether or not they are based in Korea.

3. When and how to pay

After acceptance, the editorial office sends an invoice with a payment link to the corresponding author. Payment is due before the article is scheduled for publication.

Payments are processed by our payment providers, PortOne Inc. and its acquiring partners (Eximbay). We accept credit and debit cards including Visa, Mastercard, JCB, American Express, Diners Club and Discover. Because payment is taken in USD, cards issued in Korea must be enabled for international transactions; domestic-only cards cannot be used. The journal does not store card numbers. Bank transfer is available on request; contact the editorial office.

4. Refunds

Requests must be sent in writing to ijhrb@s-vca.org.

  1. Before the article is published. If the author withdraws the manuscript, or asks to cancel payment, the full amount is refunded.
  2. After the article is published. No refund is given, because the service has been delivered.
  3. Duplicate or incorrect charges. Refunded in full, regardless of publication status.
  4. Withdrawal or retraction by the journal. If the journal withdraws or retracts an article for reasons attributable to the journal, the full amount is refunded.

Refunds are made by cancelling the original card authorisation and return the USD amount that was actually charged. Depending on the card issuer, it may take 3–7 business days for the reversal to appear on the cardholder's statement. Any difference on your statement caused by exchange-rate movement between the payment date and the refund date is outside the journal's control. Refunds cannot be paid to a card other than the one used for the original payment.

5. Delivery of service

The service purchased is the editorial processing and open-access publication of the accepted article. It is delivered when the article is published on this website. No physical goods are shipped.

6. Privacy

Personal data is handled as described in our Privacy Policy.
